James K. “Jim” Price, 62, passed away September 29, 2026 at Hiawatha Care Center/Moments Hospice surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Jim is survived by his wife, Colleen Price together for 18 years, sons James Jr., Jacob and Nathan Price, step-children, Mitchell, Jessica and Jenna Licup, sisters Libby Vega (Tom), Rhoda Horn (Dan) brother, Charles Edward Price, Father in law, Mark Cox. 

Jim is proceeded in death by his father, John Price, mother Mary Foley, Mother in law, Constance Cox and brother in law, Mark Cox Jr.

Jim was born in Highland Park, Michigan and raised in Round Lake Heights, Illinois. Jim spent 35 years in the sheet metal trade, 17 years in Local 265/Illinois and 18 years Local 263/Iowa.  Jim was known for his quick wit, playful banter and infectious sense of humor. Jim was a life long sports fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, Chicago Blackhawks and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Jim cherished his family, a fantastic group of friends and especially valued his close friendship with Rusty Blumer. 

Special thanks to the exceptional care Jim received at Mercy Medical Center, University of Iowa Hospital, Hiawatha Care Center and Moments Hospice.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jim’s memory to the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation and the American Heart Association.
