Lynn Ann Garner Age 78, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away at Cottage Grove Place on Friday, October 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

A visitation will be on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM with the Certified Celebrant Cindi McKee officiating.

Lynn was born on April 5, 1948, in Fort Dodge, IA. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Darlene (Bonnstetter) Struecker. She graduated from West Bend High School in 1966. On July 7, 1984, Lynn married Thomas R. Garner at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Lynn enjoyed garage selling and shopping at Goodwill. She was a longtime member of Radiant Church.

Those left to cherish Lynn’s memory is her husband, Tom Garner of Cedar Rapids, IA; her son, Jason (Natalie) McVay, of Cedar Rapids, IA; her grandchildren, Dillon and Kiara McVay, and her sister, Connie (Harlan) Tofteberg, of Eagle Grove, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a baby brother in infancy. 

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Cottage Grove Place for all the love and support, they showed Lynn while she was in their care.
