Memorial

Linda Maxine Schulte, age 84, passed away on October 13, 2026, at Mercy Hospice after a brief illness. Visitation Monday, October 19, 2026 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am Funeral Service at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.  Interment to be at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
 
She was born on September 17, 1942, in North English, IA and was the only child of Max and Ethal (Lockridge) McArtor and graduated from English Valleys High School in 1960. 

Linda began working as telephone operator at Northwestern Bell in 1960 and retired from Quest Telephone in 2002 with over 30 years of service. She married her husband Roger on September 25, 1965 in North English, Iowa.  She was a proud member of the CWA Local 7101, Telephone Pioneers, and St. John XXIII Catholic Church.  Her love of music sustained and nourished her throughout her life.  She very much loved her 3 dachshunds (Muffin, Snicker, and KC) and her granddog (Tito) over the years. She was also a passionate supporter of all things Jefferson High School attending football games, band, and choir concerts long after her own children graduated.  
 
She is survived by Roger, her husband of 61 years. Two children Troy (Laurie) of Sunrise Beach and Lebanon Missouri, and Trent (Sharon) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Her pride and joy were her 3 grandchildren Abigail Schulte, 25, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Truman Schulte, 22, of Columbia, Missouri; and Quinn Schulte, 20, of Ames, Iowa. 
 
She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Eric in 1969.
