Memorial

Larry Ray Huston, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Monday, October 19, 2026. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow the service and take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Larry was born February 9, 1948, to Harold and Idalene (Westphal) Huston in Anamosa, Iowa. He was raised on the family farm outside of Wyoming, and later moved to Anamosa. He married Elizabeth Benesh on May 7, 1977 in Cedar Rapids where they raised their family.

He enjoyed playing golf, going to St. Louis Cardinal baseball games, and attending Hawkeye sporting events. He loved his family and cherished the road trips to national parks, supporting his kids and granddaughters with their activities, and the time spent with his family and lifelong friends. 

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Liz Huston; children, Carrie (Marcus) Langton, and Brian Huston; granddaughters, Ava, Aubrey, and Alivia Langton; his brother, Steve Huston; along with his nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, David and Tom Huston.
