Memorial

Anna Kelly, 85, passed away peacefully October 28, 2026. A visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Thursday, November 5 at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Kisling Cemetery, rural Urbana. 

Anna is survived by her children Thomas (Samantha) Kelly, Forest (Angela) Kelly, Kevin (Loraine) Kelly and Kristine (Jeff) Graham; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; parents, Forest and Lucille Brody; brothers, Forest Sherman, Ronald and Wesley. 

Anna was born in Pine River, Minnesota. She grew up in the Cedar Rapids area and married Thomas Kelly in 1959; they were married for 55 years. Anna was an Avon District Manager and later retired from Younkers in 2010, the day before her first great grandchild was born. Anna was the family genealogist. She was a passionate family historian and proud of her work making the Brody family reunions memorable every year. She was especially known for her dedication and love for her family and enjoyed having a house full of kids and grandkids to entertain. The family would like to express their deep gratitude for the staff and caregivers at Center Point Heights, Emery Place and Suncrest Hospice for the attention and care they provided to Anna.
