Amber Leigh Foley, 34, of Jupiter, Florida, previously of Robins, Iowa, passed away suddenly on October 22, 2026. Words cannot express how deeply she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Amber was born on September 2, 1992, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the cherished daughter of Mike and Tami (Bjornsen) Foley. She grew up in the area and graduated from Linn-Mar High School in 2011 before attending Creighton University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2015, followed by her master’s and law degrees in 2018. She went on to dedicate more than five years as a Public Defender in Sioux City and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passionately advocating for those who needed a voice.

From an early age, Amber poured her heart and energy into the things she loved. Whether playing soccer and basketball, expressing her creativity through crafting, or giving back to her community through volunteering, she approached everything with enthusiasm and a caring spirit. Her faith was also an important part of her life, leading her to participate in youth church groups and mission trips. She generously shared her time and talents in many ways, including volunteering at St. Luke’s Hospital and singing in the Linn-Mar choir.

While still in high school, Amber earned both her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certifications, demonstrating an early commitment to caring for others and making a difference in the lives of those around her. Her passion for helping others continued through the five years she spent as a youth counselor at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor.

After moving to Jupiter, Florida, Amber combined her entrepreneurial spirit and lifelong love of dogs by building her successful dog brand, “Dogs Before Dudes.” She became an active part of the Jupiter area dog community, dedicating her time to local events and Big Dog Ranch Rescue, where she helped countless dogs find their forever homes. She was a loving dog mom to her miniature schnauzers, Stanley and Stella, and cherished her daily walks with them along the Jupiter Dog Beach, their happy place.

Above all else, family and friends were at the heart of who Amber was. She was a loving daughter, the greatest big sister to Anna, Tomas, and Olivia, and a loyal friend to all. With her warm smile, bright personality, and genuine spirit, Amber made everyone feel welcome and had a remarkable gift for turning friends into family. She was always there to offer thoughtful advice, encouragement, and support, making those around her feel valued, loved, and cared for.

Amber is survived by her loving parents, Mike and Tami (Bjornsen) Foley; her siblings, Anna, Tomas, and Olivia; her grandmothers, Mardonna Foley and Marjorie Bjornsen; and her beloved dogs, Stanley and Stella. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Larry D. Foley and Terry Bjornsen.

Amber continued her lifelong mission of helping others through the gift of organ and tissue donation. Her legacy of love, generosity, service, and compassion will live on in the people and dogs she helped, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless lives she touched. We will remember Amber in every colorful sunrise, every walk along a sandy beach, and every wagging tail.

Family and friends are invited to visit and celebrate Amber’s life on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.
