Bertha Genevieve Inger, 104, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday March 21, 2026, in Unity Point St. Luke’s in Cedar Rapids.  Services: Private. A visitation will be held on Thursday March 26, 2026, from 4-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.  

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Bonnie Inger of Robins, brother Bob, Sister Eunice. Also surviving are grandchildren Shawna (Yale) Weeks, Shannon (Gary) Guth, Barry Inger, Mark (Dawn) Inger Heidi (Brad) Grell, Penny (Jeffrey) Wilson, Christy (Dave) Walker, Todd (Janelle) Carter, lots of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy Inger, Sons Eddie and Richard and daughter Linda Lou, and two sister and three brothers.

Gen was born February 13, 1922, in Allamakee County, Iowa, the daughter of Sidney and Jessie (Flack) Hawkins. She married Roy Inger on August 28, 1937, in Charles City, Iowa. She had many jobs and retired as an inspector for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids. Her hobbies included collecting chickens, flowers, spending time with her family, gambling, bowling and loved to watch birds.
