Memorial

Thomas Scott Myers 76, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on June 22, 2026 at his home.  In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation or formal services held.  

Tom spent two years teaching at St Joseph’s School in Marion before transitioning to the College Community School District, where he served for 33 years until his retirement there.  In addition to his work in the classroom, he also coached boys and girls golf for many years.  

Tom is survived by his wife, Karen, his sons, Ryan (Sarah) and Rob (Stephanie); his four grandchildren, Maxwell, Carter, Matthew, and Natalie.  He is also survived by his sister, Mary Wright, his stepsisters, Lysa Moore and Julie Buckley, his stepbrother, Ted, and numerous cousins.  

Tom found great joy spending time with his family and his lifelong friends, Bob and Gord.  He will be greatly missed those who knew and loved him.
