Memorial

Ramona “Jean” Miller, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday June 5, 2026, at Country House Residence.  A memorial service is set for Friday June 19, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where a visitation will begin at 11:00 am until service time. Inurnment: Private at Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum.  

Survivors include her children: Deborah (Joe) Caw of Shellsburg, Iowa, Mark (Dawn) Miller, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jeff Miller of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Julia (Jerry) Miller-Baker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Matthew (Kimberly) Miller of Cedar Rapids, Iowa,  her grandchildren, Andrea (Matt) McAtee, Joshua (Kerri) Miller, Justin (Ashley) Miller, Tabitha (Randy) Chase, Reyne Draper and Jacob Miller. She is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd L. Miller of 55 years up to his death on February 11, 2011, her sisters-in-law, Dolores Rohach, Mary Jean Posusta and Patricia Miller, brothers-in-law, Earl J. Miller and Larry Posusta, her dear friends, Gladys and Selma and her beloved kitties, Boomer, Callie, Maggie and Molly.

Jean was born on March 30, 1937, in Appanoose County, Iowa, the daughter of Ira J. Breen and Cleo Nickerson Breen. She married Lloyd L. Miller on April 12, 1956, in Tama, Iowa. She was employed at Wells Fargo Bank and Hills Bank and Trust. 

Jean shared her busy life with her family for which she loved to cook Sunday dinners. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, going to movies with friends and her grandchildren, reading, crocheting and she loved her kitties.
