Judith was born May 30, 1938, in Fort Monmouth, NJ, to Walter and Edna Bess. She married Edward Colquhoun Sr. on Oct 11, 1957, in San Marcos, Texas. As a military wife, she traveled the world with Ed, spending time overseas in Italy, Germany, and Thailand, and stateside in Washington DC, Virginia, Kansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida and eventually Iowa, where she established her roots in the Cedar Rapids/Marion communities.
Judith was an avid performer throughout her life taking part in plays, musicals, mystery theater productions and performing as a clown with Ed for the youth ministry in Cedar Rapids. Judith was also a jack of all trades; a seamstress, a musician, part-time music teacher, director, a prayer minister and an optometric assistant. Her passion was serving others through Jesus Christ, and she loved teaching and spreading his word. Judith will be sorely missed by all who crossed her path. For those that knew her, they can truly say they met a special person!
