Memorial

Noma Lucas, 95, passed away peacefully at Summit Pointe Senior Living Center on August 31, 2026. She was born on January 24, 1931, in Russell County, Kansas to Edmund and Mildred Wilkerson.

Following high school graduation, she attended Butler University and then joined the Navy where she met her life partner, Wayne Lucas. Noma was a mother to four children, Janice, Karen, Dale, and Paul; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Janice. She became a homemaker and gifted artist. She taught private art lessons for over 20 years; she participated in workshops, competitions, art shows and won many awards. 

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 25, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will follow from 4 to 6 p.m., at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Eastern Iowa Honor Flight.
