John Henry Buresh, 74, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held at the El Kahir Shrine on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. The service will begin at 2:00 PM. 

John was born on July 15, 1950, to Kenneth and Mary (Carver) Buresh in Cedar Rapids. After graduating from Prairie High School, he went to Kirkwood Community College. He worked for many years with the College Community School District. John enjoyed going on walks, visiting and meeting new people, and spending time with his family. 

He is survived by his siblings, Diana Buresh, Dorothea Buresh, Joseph Buresh, and Denese Gorden, along with his niece and nephews, and his Aunts Doris Wagner and Evelynn Carver. 

John is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, James and Jerald Buresh.
