Norm and Dorothy have been great friends for many, many years. We've watched Norm build (and fly) auto-gyros and ultra-lights and gone to Oshkosh many times. Sometimes flying, sometimes on motorcycles. Back in the Norand days we ran over the noon hours. Lots of Mexican dinners and lots of pizzas. Lots of great memories. We will miss him dearly. All our love, Dorothy, Denny and Virginia

Dorthy and family, Looking back thru my old flying logbooks I found out that Norm was one of my flying students back in 1990/1991. He received his Private Pilot certificate w/me and shared an enthusiastic attitude toward his flight training. He was always well prepared for each lesson and was an ideal student/pilot. My all the warm and special memories you shared w/Norm stay with you and bring you comfort through the days ahead. Jim/Joan Mosel

I worked with Norm at Norand in the 1980s, he was always a positive influence on those around him. My key memories of my time with him was he was smart, kind ,quick with a smile and could strike up a conversation with any and all. Surely he has only gotten better at all these things as he aged and continued to be a joy to his loved ones and associates. I never returned to Iowa and lost touch with Norm, I was saddened to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family and friends, you will miss him. I wish I could be there to celebrate his life with you, but I am thankful for the memories of my time with him. Ed Miller
