Kathy and Perry, my condolences to you. My dad was Harry Gaarde and he and Bud Buse bought Schoff Construction from Wayne and Florence. Dad died back in 1982 and my mom Joy Gaarde died last year. Plus, Florence died on my birthday (74th). The best to you all.

Kathy, for decades I have had a visual reminder sitting on my kitchen counter that reminds me of your mother. It is a little wooden rectangle 2 in. by 4in. glued to a clothes pin with a decal on it. It is a recipe holder. Florence taught VBS at Federated when our son Ben made it. She loved her Lord and showed it in so many ways. Now she is enjoying her Savior’s presence.
