Obituary of Love for Brody Arnold Westphal-Edge, 17

Brody loved his life; he went to be with Jesus in Heaven 4/10/2025

A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday May 2, 2025, at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom, 4200 1st Avenue NE, Cedar Rapids, followed by a, 11:00 a.m. service in the Chapel of Memories.  A Celebration of Love reception will follow at CR Sanctuary Church, 912 18th Avenue SW, in Cedar Rapids.

Brody touched everyone he met with the BIGGEST LOVE. His strength was beyond this world. He attended Prairie High School and enjoyed many ARC Activities. He loved giving high 5’s, playing in water, being outdoors, watch Sesame street, listening to music and having dance parties with Dad. Praising the LORD with Mom and praying every night.

Brody was never without his shiver of sharks. He loved taking drives and insisted on listening to music he liked.  Brody had two favorite people he loved being with: his big brother Alex, who he loved rocking out on the patio with and his Grandma Stotler, they shared a special bond that will never be broken. Brody liked school and met so many special people who helped him grow.

His Smile-His Jesus light shined everywhere and on everyone. His special touch and knowing looks told us what to do and how to be without a word spoken.

He is survived by his parents, Lori Westphal and Dave Edge. Big brothers Calvin Munn, Alex Sauer, John and James Edge. Sister Katie Munn, Grandma Wanda Stotler and many aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Brody’s family included everyone. He was the LOVE of his mom and dad’s life.

Brody was preceded in death by Grandpa Larry Stotler and Uncle Brian Westphal.

Brody will live on in many people’s lives, for he was an organ donor through Iowa Donor Network

We ask that you please do not attend if feeling ill and please No Smoking-Brody lead a very Healthy Life

Memorials can be directed to family.

Brody taught us how to LOVE BIGGER-We will see each other again in Heaven.
