Stanley W. Jacobson, Age 87, of Cedar Rapids, IA passed away at the St. Luke’s Helen G. Nassif Transitional Care Center on Thursday, September 12, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

A visitation will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM with Pastor Jonathan Heifner officiating. Interment to follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Garden of Eternal Love.

Stanley was born on July 14, 1937, in Ripley, MI. He was the son of the late Raymond and Vivienne (Fish) Jacobson. On January 28, 1961, Stanley married the love of his life, Patricia “Pat” Esch. He was a veteran in the US Navy and worked at the Duane Arnold Energy Center until his retirement in 1995. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Pat, of Cedar Rapids; his daughters, Karen (Dave Yarbrough) Jacobson, of Marysville, WA, Diane (Dennis) Sande, of Charles City, IA, Susan (Donovan) Johnson of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Laura (DJ) Lindquist, of Cedar Rapids, IA; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two siblings, Raymond Jacobson and Nancy Brown, a grandson, Ben Johnson, and a great-granddaughter, Imani Sande.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybe made in his name to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the St. Luke’s Helen G. Nassif Transitional Care Center for all the love and support they showed Stanley while he was in their care.
