Miles Steven Fisher, Age 70, of Ames, Iowa, passed away at home on September 17, 2024, following a brief illness of lymphoma.

Steve was born on May 23, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Miles X Fisher and Marjorie Lovett Fisher. He was a 1972 graduate of Washington High School in Cedar Rapids and studied biology at Kirkwood Community College and Iowa State University. Steve was a long-time employee of the Department of Transportation, retiring in 2017. He was a gifted photographer of nature and enjoyed sharing his many photos. Steve had a fondness for each of his many feline companions throughout his life. 

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle and aunt Jim and Ramona Lovett.

Inurnment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials in Steve’s memory may be made to Ames Animal Shelter and Animal Control.
