JUDITH ANN BLANK (Judy), age 86 of Cedar Rapids, IA died September 12, 2024, peacefully at home surround by her family. Funeral Mass: 11:00 A.M. Friday September 20, 2024, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, where a visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial: Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 

Judy is survived by her loving husband Arlen, and 5 children, Daniel (Suzanne) Blank, and family, Danielle, Elisa & Mateo, Superior, WI; Barbara (Allan) Grove, Marietta, GA; Constance McCool, and family, Maya and Zachary, Chandler, AZ; Robert Blank and family, Jay and Natalie, Cedar Rapids, IA;  Thomas Blank, Cedar Rapids, IA. She is also survived by her brother Steve (Sue) Kehrer of Crossville, TN and a brother-in-law Norm Humble of Cedar Rapids, IA. 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, John (2000) and Mildred (2007) & her sister Joyce (2016).

She was born May, 11, 1938, in Iowa City, IA.  She graduated from Franklin High School in 1956, and then attended the University of Iowa.

Judy married Arlen Blank on October 13, 1962, at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, IA. In November 1963, Arlen and Judy moved into their family home and raised their 5 children.  Judy was a stay-at- home mother.

She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church & their choir and Theta Sigma Phi business sorority.  She enjoyed her many years of golf from her childhood beginnings at Elmcrest Country Club to the Ladies Club team at Ellis Park.  Judy also spent quality time with friends in her bowling leagues, playing bridge and mahjong.  She loved to travel, and enjoyed many summers at Lake Okoboji, IA.  After Arlen’s retirement, Judy arranged many enjoyable trips to Europe and around the U.S.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Judy’s name to The Michael J Fox Foundation.
