Charles W. Harvey, 90, formerly of 427 F Ave NW Cedar Rapids and recently of Marion, passed away, Friday, September 20th, at St Luke’s Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, September 28, 2024,  at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4150 Blue Jay Dr NE. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm, Friday, September 27, 2024, in Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. 

Surviving is his daughter, Jill (Douglas) Beardsley of Marion IA, son, William (Susan) Harvey of Albuquerque NM, sister, Judy Diggins of Kentucky, grandchildren Brent (Anne) Beardsley, Alan Beardsley, Ryan (Nicole) Beardsley, Trevor (Hannah) Beardsley, Brittany (Brad) Galbraith, Andrew (Heidi) Harvey, Stephen “Skip” (Breanna) Harvey, Douglas Harvey and Brooklyn (Xander) O’Neill, and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Ora and Thelma, his dear, sweet wife Rosemary and great-granddaughter Ruby Rose O’Neill. 

Chuck was born November 14, 1933, in Marshalltown Iowa, to Ora and Thelma Harvey. He married his high school sweetheart Rosemary on April 19, 1953, in Marshalltown Iowa. They enjoyed 57 wonderful years of marriage before her passing in 2010. They owned and operated Lilly Printing Co in downtown Cedar Rapids for 42 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was active as a youth Sunday School teacher. He and Rosemary served a 4-year church mission, and he continued after her death for another 4 years. He was also a worker in the Nauvoo temple, former Bishop in the church. He was a member of the Mount Hermon Grand Lodge of Iowa, the El Kahir Shrine and a Shrine clown. 

He was a man of few words but loved people and activities. He was always eager to listen to the local outdoor concerts and events. He enjoyed printing and was always on the forefront of new technology.
