Mr. Micheal was a great guy! He did indeed have a presence about him. He welcomed everyone into his orbit. I enjoyed his obituary; he accomplished a lot and was involved in many things. To Ms. Musick and his family please accept my deepest sympathy. Dr. John Wollner

My dad, John Wilson and Bob were great friends. They joined the marines together. Every time we were in Cedar Rapids for a wedding or a funeral or just visiting, my dad would take us (some of us, if not all) to the bar to see Bob, and they kept in touch by phone. I am so very sorry for your loss. We lost Dad 2 1/2 years ago. And it sucks. I have to imagine they´ve already shared some beers together. I´m sharing 2 pictures of them together. One is from the bar and the other is from the Honor Flight they went on together. Deepest condolences to you all. Anne Holder

To the Michaels family. My sincere condolences to your family. Your dad was always there to support you in your sports and was such a positive role model. He always had a smile on his face and was proud of his kids. Our baseball memories playing against each other will live on, but your dad has finally hit a home run to heaven! Chris jennings

Dearest Nina and families, Bob was one of those guys who was such a joyful presence. No one was a stranger and everyone loved him. May he be resting in peace! Have a "Heavenly" one for us.

Condolences to the Michael family and dear friends. I have fond memories of Bob and the kids at the ballpark and also knew him from various other "hangouts" where he spent many a good time with my dad, Dick. May you find peace and comfort as you celebrate his wonderful life and legacy. -C.
