Memorial

Anita Louise Render, 78, of Alburnett, passed away at her home, Monday, January 22, 2024. Visitation: 1 - 3 PM, Sunday, January 28, 2024, and 10 – 11 AM, Monday, January 29, 2024; Memorial Service: 11 AM, Monday, January 29, 2024; Visitations and service held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Marion. 

Anita was born on December 4, 1945, in Illinois, the daughter of Armand and Alice (Beltran) Miranda. She was united in marriage to Wayne Render on November 29, 1993, on the beach in Oahu, Hawaii. Anita had worked for AT&T and was also the Admissions Manager at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids. She was an active member of St. Mark's, attending bible studies, FaithLife groups, and worship services. She particularly loved the fellowship of the community, listening to the organ during the traditional service, and grooving to the contemporary service. She loved to travel, visiting many places in the United States and throughout the world, exploring all 50 states and five of the seven continents.  Anita also enjoyed ballroom dancing, especially dancing to 50's and 60's music.  On the rare occasions when she did relax, she could be found cross stitching. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her greatest attributes were her big heart and her kindness.  

Survivors include her husband Wayne of Alburnett, daughter Megan Hippensteel, step children Jake (Megan) Render and their sons Brock and Luke, Aaron (Angela) Render and their son Kyron, and Lindsay (Beau) Render and their daughter Sienna, sister Mary Ann (Ron) Lehman, brothers Armand (Gina) Miranda and Norman (Brenda) Miranda, and her nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, grandmother Elsa Beltran, sister Carol Kabarac, and baby niece Laura Kabarac.
