Memorial

Ronald Robert Hatfield, born July 16, 1938, died peacefully on September 3 after a brief illness at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. He was 85 years old.

Originally from Manchester, Iowa, he mostly resided in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed stamp collecting, zippo lighters and fishing in his spare time.

Surviving are his brother Richard (Patty), daughter Connie, sons Steven (Teresa), Kevin (Amy) and two grandsons, Braden and Joshua. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Terry. 

He will have a private ceremony honoring his life. 

In lieu of gifts, Ron requested donations to the Oldorf Hospice House.
