Robert L. Wells, Sr., of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, on Monday, September 11, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Robert Wells was born on February 19, 1945, in Anamosa, IA. He was the son of the late Clarence F. and Helen (Cozart) Wells. He worked as a welder for many years. Robert was an avid fisherman.

Those left to cherish Robert’s memory are his significant other, Linda McClintock, of Cedar Rapids, IA; his son, Robert (Mary) Wells, Jr., of Martinsburg, IA; his brother, Francis (Mary Jo) Wells of Hopkinton, IA; his grandchildren, Steven and James Wells.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Tereasa Dawn Wells.

A memorial fund has been established.
