Marcella Pearl Powell Hay

Mrs. Hay passed away on September 14, 2023 in Cantonment, Florida.  

She was born on January 27, 1931 in Madison, Missouri to Howard and Fay Dell Powell.  She was an Air Force veteran and served during the Korean War.  She married Morris Hay on the 10th of March, 1951 at Scott AFB in Belleville, Illinois.  

Survivors include one son, Stephen (Jayme) of Lake Norden, South Dakota and one daughter Heather (Jason) Moore of Spanish Fort, Alabama.  She is also survived by three grandchildren; Clint Hay of Brookings, South Dakota, Dawson Moore of San Antonio, Texas, and Olivia Moore of Spanish Fort, Alabama, and 2 sisters; Marilyn (Robert) Fort, and Judy (Ken) Cook.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris, her parents, an infant daughter, two brothers; Howard J. and Kenneth, and two sisters; Connie Smith and Helen Hayden.  

She will be put to rest in a private ceremony at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
