Memorial

Rosemary E. Johnson, 77, of Marion passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023 at Oldorf Hospice House. Services will be held Monday, May 8th, 2023 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with memorial service at noon. Committal service will follow at the graveside. 

Rosemary was born June 27th, 1945 in Waterloo, IA to Philip and Dorothy (Brewer) Kauten. She graduated from West High School in Waterloo in 1963. In November 1970 she was united in marriage to Duane L. Johnson. Their union was blessed with two children, Scott and Dawn. Rosemary loved sewing, cruises, and spending time with her grandson. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. 

Those left to cherish Rosemary’s memory are her husband Duane, son Scott (Stacy) Johnson of Cedar Rapids, son-in-law Dusty Hetrick of Oquawka Il, grandson Dalton and brothers Darrell, Phil and Rod as well as many nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Dawn. 

The family would like to thank Oldorf Hospice and Mercy Hospital for their care for Rosemary.
