What a wonderful, warm, and caring woman. I was always welcome in her home as a friend of her daughter's and she was absolutely lovely. She will be greatly missed!

My deepest sympathy to you all on the loss of a remarkable loving and deeply caring wife, Mother and Grandmother. I was so saddened to hear that Kathy lost her courageous fight today.
For each cloud, there's a rainbow… for each shadow, the sun, and for each parting, our cherished memories when sorrow is done... and beyond the sorrow, there is peace. May all the wonderful memories held deep within your heart you've shared with your mother help to soothe your spirit at this sad & difficult time. I have many memories of times shared with your mother during our 4 years in the first BSN nursing class at Mt. Mercy which I’ll cherish in my heart.
And, when you look up into the night sky tonight, you’ll see a new brilliant star up there. And even though it's far away, its brightness and warmth still reach us here to make the night a little less dark.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers...and wishing you all everything you need to get through this difficult time.

I recall that Kathy donated many hours to the SPRINT program at St. Paul’s and many years with Girl Scout Day Camp as camp nurse. I was honored to know her.

I grew up across the street when we were kids and had a bird's eye view of how wonderful your family was. Your mom was always so kind to me. Spending time at your house were some of my happiest childhood memories. Your mom was the first nurse I had ever met. She planted a seed in my mind about nursing and I became a nurse just like her. If I could go back in time, I would thank her for being a shining example of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and nurse. You never know the lives we touch even if just briefly. My deepest condolences to your family.

Praying for all of you as you navigate the loss of your wife, mother and grandmother. I am so sorry that I can't be there. I will never forget the day Kathy and Steve asked me if I could babysit (at the time I was their paper carrier). I said yes and those years contain some of my best memories. I love you all. My heart aches for you.
