Memorial

Adeline Kathaline Weimer, 95, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital.  Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 20, 2023, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.  A visitation will begin, one hour prior, starting at 10:00 AM at the chapel.  Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.  

Addie, daughter of Anton and Lottie Voracek, was born on May 11, 1927, in Marion, Iowa.  For 60 years she was the loving wife to Ernest Weimer who preceded her in death. Addie is survived by her son, Theron (Melinda) of Warrenton, VA; a daughter, Cheryl of Mechanicsville, IA; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  

Addie worked in retail sales for many years developing a strong corps of loyal customers and close bonds with her fellow sales associates.  She loved to travel, visiting family and friends around the country and around the world.  She also had a passion for bowling and continued to compete into her late 80’s.  Addie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
