Mary Ann Scott died Monday December 4, 2023, at Pacifica Senior Living in Ft. Myers, Florida.  A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday January 13, 2024, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Shirley and Wayne Eiben will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
 
Survivors include her children, Stephanie Mihane of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Steven Scott of West Chester, Ohio, and Stuart Scott of Onslow, Iowa. She is, also, survived by her six grandchildren, Allison Schumpp, Theresa Scott, John Scott, Kaitlin Mihane, Jamie Kelly, and Luke Scott, and her four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Callen, Quinn, and Addy.
 
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, and, her husband, Fred Scott.
 
Mary Ann was born December 15, 1935, in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Thomas and Carolyn (Gasper) Beswick. She married Fred Scott on February 19, 1965 in Cleveland, Ohio. Mary Ann was a supervisor for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids. She attended Edgewood High School, Kirkwood Community College, and took Geology courses at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. She was very active and loved traveling. She has been to many places across the United States including Gettysburg, the Mammoth Caves, Mesa Verde, Crow Canyon, and Chaco Canyon. Her hobbies included reading books and watching movies about history, adventures, and British mysteries, raising Eastern Swallowtail butterflies, gardening, rock and mineral hunting, researching genealogy, horseback riding, and taking motorcycle trips with Fred. She loved archeology and assisted on digs at the Mound House in Ft. Myers, FL, Crow Canyon in Colorado, and Chaco Canyon in New Mexico. Mary Ann loved her dogs, Sly, a chocolate lab, and Ava, a brown and white coonhound.
