We are all saddened by the passing of Todd. We knew he and Bretta enjoyed their time together traveling and visiting family and friends. We are all thinking of you and your family, Bretta. From your Tempe Tax & License team.

Todd was someone who has inspired me in so many ways the last 15 years we have known each other. We bonded mostly on our love for music and writing. He always had the best stories to tell and the greatest musical taste. He loved to play Trivia of any kind and you always wanted to be on his team (the winning team) because he was one of the smartest and most knowledgeable people I have ever known. He loved my mom with everything he had and he accepted me as a daughter. He was an amazing grandpa to my kiddos Avery and Amelia and he will be forever missed by us all.

Todd was a good friend in high school and will be greatly missed. I know he’s keeping an eye on us and is probably jamming out to some 80s rock or playing baseball. My condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear about Todd but I knew he had been battling for some time. My prayers and condolences to Bretta, Trent, Alan and all that called Todd a friend.
I have fond memories of playing baseball and riding bikes as kids in the Ellis Park district of CR. I also enjoyed spending time with Todd at the University of Iowa playing cards, watching sports and just hanging out.
Todd had a gentle and kind way about him and he could always make you laugh and feel good.
May God comfort and strengthen his family during this time of loss.

Todd was a great addition to the family. He always had a smile on his face and great adventure stories to share. We were so happy to have more family close by when him and Bretta moved to Arizona. He will forever be in our hearts with great memories and smiles, until we all meet again.

I attended Roosevelt with Todd and will never forget his smile and his laugh. He was truly unique; one of the smartest and funniest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. A very kind soul who will be dearly missed.

Suzanne and I met Todd and Bretta on a Viking river cruise this last May. We traveled with them from Paris to Prague and were instantly drawn to them both, individually and as a couple. Todd was battling with his illness even as he was keeping pace with his fellow travelers from Paris through all the "-bergs" along the rivers. His character as the best kind of knowlegeable journalist came through strongly in our conversations. He was determined to make the treks on the day trips into the little towns, even as his body was not cooperating. So glad he got to that smoky beer in Bamberg and introduced us to it. There was so much to admire in this lovely dear man. Our hearts go out to Bretta and his family. Much love, Idris
