That amazing girl and I shared many moments in the Jefferson Library. We talked of poetry and life and other things. Saniah was beautiful on the inside and out, and I was and am proud to have considered her a friend. After she moved to Metro, we met up at a neighborhood shindig. It was like old home week. She seemed surprised that I remembered her. Silly. She was every kind of memorable. We hugged and talked about books again, and about how she was settling in with her new school. I wish we'd stayed in touch more. She was special. So special. I loved, no, love her. My heart goes out to her family.
