Ruby R. McLaud, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday April 11, 2023, at Heritage Specialty Care. Services: 1:00 p.m. Monday April 17, 2023, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held on Sunday April 16, 2023, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia (Rick) Cohn of Robins, Iowa, and Claudia Ann McLaud of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Also surviving are, 4 grandchildren: Kristine, Mandi, Brian and Koady. 7 great grandchildren: Tayia, Tayton, Trevor, Drew, Natalie, Logan and Tyler. One brother Ronald Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward McLaud Jr, her son, Michael McLaud, 2 sisters Ruth Fitzgerald and Jean Williams.

Ruby was born on December 23, 1932, in Marion, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Ella (Webster) Williams. She married Edward Delbert McLaud Jr. on March 6, 1954, in Marion, Iowa. Ruby worked in the food service with the Cedar Rapids School System. She was a member of Christ Community Church in Marion, IA.  She was an avid Hawkeye fan and Kansas City Chief fan! Ruby loved spending time with family, she loved to cook and all were always welcome.  A special thank you to her nurses Melissa and Amanda and Station 1 at Heritage Specialty Care.
