To The Bear family:
I am so sorry for your loss. I have chatted with Don many times at Ellis about his love of golf and family. He sat through many swim meets and cheered Donnie and Warriors on to victories. He was a true Warrior. Always remember the good times and savor and cherish them. He will always be with you.
God bless. May peace come to you.

Don played golf most days of the week with a large group of friends on the Cedar Rapids public courses. He was a talented golfer most notable for his uncanny ability to make long putts! Don had many "Bearisms", which he freely shared each and every round and are frequently quoted to this day. Don has been missed and will continue to be greatly missed by all of his golfing buddies.
