Jen Kositzky, 37, of Walford, passed away on November 7, 2022, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. A celebration of life service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday November 13, 2022, at The Midnight Gem in Swisher, IA. Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. John Cemetery.

Jen is survived by her husband Scott and their children Kinzey and Zane; her mother, Susan Burke of Cedar Rapids; her mother and father-in-law Ron and Jody Kositzky of Cedar Rapids; her brother-in-law, Ken Kositzky and wife Jenna of Marion; sister-in-law, Melissa Blair and husband Steve of Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her father, James J. Carolan Burke.

Jen was born on April 28, 1985, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of James and Susan Burke. Jen spent her life bringing joy and kindness to everyone she encountered. She dedicated her personal and professional life to helping others, encouraging them to believe in themselves, and selflessly giving everything she could. Jen treasured being a mother to Zane and Kinzey and loved teaching them how to love life and love others. She spread kindness like glitter, and everyone she met sparkles a little brighter from knowing her.
