Sue and family, I am sorry for your loss and know you are in my thoughts and prayers Deanne

My sincere and deepest condolences go out to your family. I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved mother for whom I knew as one of my most favorite teachers Mrs. Chester. Not only was she a wonderful teacher but a very kind and caring lady! If the world had more teachers like her more kids would enjoyed school! My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. May you find peace and comfort in God and each other. Thank you Mrs. Chester for being the amazing teacher and wonderful kind person we needed and May you rest peace! Deborah Klein-Glessner Student from Mentzer, CB Vernon Jr. High School, Marion High School

Jean & Max were both our dear friends from the Shrine & winters in Arizona. I spoke to her on the phone a couple weeks ago. They will have a great reunion in Heaven. Sorry I won't be at the services. Sincerely sympathy. Sherry Murray

Jean was a teaching colleague of mine at Vernon Middle School. She was a fantastic teacher! She had the best laugh! and we shared many of them. My sympathies go out to all her family. She will be missed, but we all have great memories of her.

I truly hope that I do not offend anyone, but I didn't know Norma but I did work with Jean. I am very saddened by her death. The Jean that I knew was a fantastic teacher and human being. When Mentzer School opened it was a new and very fantastic educational system. There were no interior walls and all the kids in all the different grades and classes could see each other. It was a great system. When the 6th grade moved to the middle school Jean and the rest of the 6th grade teachers went with the students to help make the middle school a better place. Without Jean's leadership Mentzer's philosophy failed and they went back to having walls and traditional classrooms. The middle school students, faculty and staff benefited with her leadership. We lost a wonderful humanitarian, visionary and friend with her passing. She was truly one of a kind!
