Jackie and family-I am so sorry for your loss. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Mark, Corey and all of Mike's family. I am so sorry for your loss. Long time, but you all were the best neighbors on Pineview. If I remember right Mark babysat sons Jeremy and Josh. Your dad was a delight and enjoyed life. May you all find Peace and Comfort knowing He was so proud of you. Cherish those memories.

Jackie, I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much Michael meant to you and losing someone you love is the worst. I will be praying for you and your family to get through the tragic loss of your husband. Know that all of us are thinking of you and that we will hold the fort down until you are ready and able to return. Much love to you and your family. Kristine Harris Finch

Dear Uncle Mike, Thank you for giving me my first job. Thank you for teaching me how to water ski. Thank you for letting me live with you when I was a 16 year old punk. The man I knew was young and strong. He seemed brash and irreverent, but that just might have been in comparison with my dad.:) I loved him. He was so generous, and unafraid. (He let me drive his Corvette, I mean who does that ?) He always drove the boat unless he was skiing or in the water teaching someone to ski. I loved him. When he got hurt I cried. I was sure he would loose that.”.Mikeness” and he did for awhile I think, but he got it back. (There was definitely that twinkle in his eye last time I saw him.) When the divorce happened I was…well it was unbelievable. I was a kid, and didn’t know anything. I know this, that twinkle didn’t show up until he got remarried. I’m glad it did, I loved him. -Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. ~Amen

Mark, Amy, and the entire Duggan family. I am so sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in the memories that will never go away. Although it has been several years since I have seen Mike, I had the pleasure of meeting him when my family owned a place at Delhi. So very true when someone says he always had a smile on his face.

Jackie, Mark and Corey and all of the various and assorted Duggans, we are so sad. Lots of memories, lots of stories, lots of laughter. What a fantastic friend and brother in law we were privileged to have for over 54 years. Now he's in heaven, and out of his wheelchair...probably giving Vicki a hard time! We love you. Jack and Lynn

Mark, Corey and families, So sorry to see that you've lost your Dad. I remember how devastated our neighborhood was when he had his accident. Your Dad was an inspiration to all that knew him, always with a smile and showed the world that life goes on and is great, even though it can throw you major curve balls. It's been many many years since I've seen him (and the two of you), but I will always remember seeing him, cruising around in his van, smile on his face, I was always so happy to see him. Such a special man. The pictures and memories they brought back are fantastic. It looks like you're all doing well and have had a great life together. I lost my dad 18 years ago, so I know how painful this is for you. Embrace all the memories and be thankful for all the years you had with him, that he was able to watch you grow, your children grow, and now sounds like great grandchildren grow! Please know the entire Duggan family is in my thoughts and prayers. Carrie (Walkner) Hoover

I was very sad to hear if Mine’s passing. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. During my life I met a handful of people that truely inspired me. Mike Duggan was one of them. He was a natural-born entrepreneur, very intelligent with a sharp sense of humor and a smile that was only exceeded by the size of his heart. Mike was always good to me , hiring me twice. Once at Plaza Standard in 1976 and again at Boulevard Standard in 1980. I worked for Mike and his good buddy Craig Gilliat for several years. I really enjoyed those times. What a great bunch of good people we had. It was during those years that Mike had his terrible and life-changing accident. I wondered how Mike would handle his disabilities. Not surprisingly he handled it with grace and I saw him from time to time seemingly unscathed by life’s traumas. So long Mike ! I would like to give my condolences to Mikes family, me and my husband knew Mike from years ago, always made us laughing heard about him a lot because Duane is my brother, Mike and his family were very kind to my family R.I.P Mike

Mike was a big inspiration on my life! Mark and Corey sorry for your father's loss! He was a true gentleman. R.I.P. Mr. Duggan

Mike and I were high school classmates and friends. Ann and I went to IC together. We all remained friends after high school, marriage and jobs. Mike was never too busy for his friends and always greeted me with that million dollar grin of his. Work finally took me away from Iowa in 1977 but when I came back I always stopped into Mike’s station on 1st Avenue. Almost anything good I remember about Cedar Rapids had Mike’s, Jim’s, or Craig’s fingerprints all over it. I miss you all but will never forget any of you. Thanks for the good times.

My deepest condolences to Jackie and the entire Duggan family. I am so sorry for your loss, I will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Sending love to you during this difficult time. Lizzie Kimble
