Marilyn Turner, was born November 24, 1949 in Joliet, Illinois to Harvell and Mary Crittenden. She was the youngest of ten kids.
Marilyn attended Shoop Elementary School and Morgan Park High School in the West Pullman area. She went on to marry Robert L. Noye and they had three beautiful children; Robert Jr., Rachelle and Rodney. Marilyn was a bank teller and worked different jobs to keep a roof over her family’s head. Marilyn was a good daughter, mother, grandma, great grandma, auntie, church woman and a good friend to many.
Marilyn was divorced for many years before meeting and marrying Tony Turner who had four previous children; Anthony, Yolanda, Russell and Antonia. Together they moved to Iowa in 1998. Sadly Tony passed away in 2003. Marilyn then opened a Daycare Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa called Mother Care. She had such a love for the daycare children that she wanted to start adopting kids herself. She then adopted two beautiful young girls; Sherlin & Erica. Erica moved back with her family but Sherlin remained with Marilyn.
Marilyn was a child of God for sure, and on April 24, 2022 she was called home by her Heavenly Father. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Robert L. Noye, Jr., daughters; Rachelle Noye & Sherlin Turner of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, grandchildren; Tiffany Noye, DeAngelo Noye, Donja Warren, Roszale Noye, Shayla Noye, Rashron Noye, Sadris Noye, DeMarcus Daniels, Rhianna Noye, Tanayah Klett and Nevaeh Noye, great grandchildren; Teilan Noye, Myles Little, London Nicole Warren, Corze Donja Noye & Jersey LeAn Noye, step children; Anthony Goodlow of Michigan, Yolanda Turner (Marty) of Illinois, Russell Romero (Felicia) of Michigan and Antonio Romero of Illinois, special Godchildren; Beatrice Nelson, Machelle Givens, Mario and Tameka, two very special friends since elementary school; Maria Turner and Malzina as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
