Marjorie A. Rettig, 91, formerly of Middle Amana, Iowa, passed away quietly on Sunday morning, June 26, 2022, at Pura Vida Assisted Living in Tucson, Arizona. She was born in South Amana, Iowa, on March 20, 1931, and was the second child of Herman O. Leichsenring and Lina M. Leichsenring. On May 6, 1950, she was united in marriage to Ray B. Rettig of Middle Amana, Iowa.

Mrs. Rettig was employed for many years at the Amana Woolen Mill salesroom. She was also a long-time Camp Fire Girls leader. She and her husband later operated the Rettig House Bed and Breakfast in Middle Amana until their retirement and move to Oro Valley, Arizona in 1995. She was a former member of the Amana Church and was most recently a member of Desert Foothills Baptist Church in Tucson, Arizona.

Mrs. Rettig is survived by a daughter, Rita Pettigrew, of Homestead, Florida; a son, Rick Rettig, of Ephrata, Washington; four grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother.

Mrs. Rettig will be buried at Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
