Dennis D. Yordi, 64, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1pm to 4pm, on Sunday, August 7th, 2022, at the Swisher American Legion in Swisher, Iowa. 

Survivors include his wife, Tracy Folkmann Yordi, step daughter Ella Houge, daughter Samantha Lubinskas and husband Micheal, sons Christopher Kuebrich and wife Ellen (Sandler), Nicholas Yordi, Daniel Yordi, Brother Dean Yordi and wife Jeanne (Tallman), Sisters, Jeanette Farwell and husband Bill, Diane Thomas-Anderson and husband Todd, Jodi Marquardsen and husband Ben Gibbons. As well as many grandkids, nieces, nephews & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Yordi, & mother Pearl Yordi (Schwope)

Dennis Dean Yordi was born May 1, 1958, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Alfred and Pearl (Schwope) Yordi. Dennis was an entrepreneur in the excavating business, for 30+ years. He loved to fish, hunt, kayak and celebrate life with friends and family. Over the years he also enjoyed, flying, riding his motorcycle, golfing, scuba diving, and traveling.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Dennis’s name to Hospice of Mercy.
