Memorial

Steven Allan Scott passed away December 2, 2022 after a long battle with health issues.  A visitation will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, for friends and family to share stories and pay their respects. A private family graveside service.

Steven is survived by 2 brothers: Kenneth and Larry Scott; 2 nieces, Karen Klostermann and Sherry Surrett; 5 great nephews, Corey (Dee) Scott, Kevin and Jacob Klostermann, Booker Scott, and Austin Surrett; 5 great nieces, Brittany, Katelyn, Brianna and Samantha Klostermann and Justice Surrett; and a great-great niece, River Scott.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Ruth (Mayer) Scott; his brother, Roger K Scott; a nephew, Ricky A Scott; and a niece, Stacey Scott.

Steven was born July 1, 1955 in his grandparents farm house in Central City.  Steven was a graduate of Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids. He spent his career as a truck driver for A1 Garbage Disposal in Cedar Rapids.  Even though he lived and worked in Cedar Rapids for most of his life, he preferred to be camping and fishing. Most any weekend, you’d find him either at a campground or out on his fishing boat.
