Roberta Pauline "Bert" (Jeffries) Skoog, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 1, 2022 in Tucson, Arizona. Roberta married Glenn (dec. 11/2020) on October 22, 1955. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 2020.

A Celebration of Life will be delayed until after the first of the year.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Skoog; father, Robert Jeffries, and mother, Josephine (Blahnik) Jeffries.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry Jeffries and sister Airen Grey; children, Barbara Sellick (Jim-dec.), Marilinne Staub, Brian Skoog (Gina Gray McCrone), Annette Skoog and Susie Kell (Doug) as well as her grandchildren, Lauren Staub, Jared Staub, Shelby Ellingson, Ashley Livingston (Hunter), Kehly Todd (Bryan) and Braydon Skoog.

Roberta lived her life with passion. Passion for all people God put on her journey. All were a part of her family. During her life she was instrumental in the formation of The East Central Chapter of the Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa, bringing together families for support and information on resources. Roberta worked to bring local support groups together to form the chapter for Eastern Iowa and served as president for several years.

Above all, Roberta loved her family and friends very much and cherished the time she spent with them. Glenn and Roberta spent most of their married life together attending events for their children and grandchildren. They truly loved being involved with their children and grandchildren’s lives.

She was well known for her great personality, infectious laugh and love of the Chicago Cubs and red wine. She was always looking to have fun and capable of gathering friends instantly. Rest in peace Roberta "Bert", this world is a better place because of you. As "Bert" would say, "GO CUBS and Just Drink Wine".

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Systems Unlimited, Inc or the East Central Chapter of the Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa (BIAIA).
