Memorial

Nicole L. Tiedt, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022. She is now at peace after battling a long illness. Catholic mass will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, 11:00am, at St Pius X Catholic Church. A visitation will take place one hour before, starting at 10:00am. Inurnment to follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Nicole Louise Tiedt was born on March 2, 1989 in Cedar Rapids to Jerry and Lori Tiedt. She graduated from Xavier High School in 2007 and Kirkwood Community College in 2011. She worked as a Registered Nurse and her passion was caring for the elderly. 

Nicole’s son, Kaden, was the love of her life. He was and always will be her beacon of light. 

Nicole is survived by her son, Kaden Giersberg; parents, Jerry & Lori; brothers, Andy (Bailey) and Adam (Kristin); nephews, Grayson, Wyatt, and Owen; and grandparents, Ivan & Lu Borcherding; and a large extended family. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hugo & MaryEllen Tiedt.
