Memorial

Richard “Rick” Talcott passed away suddenly on Sunday September 12th, 2021.  Born February 28, 1954, to Wilfred & Bernice Talcott in Cedar Rapids, IA. Rick married LaWona Kaye Exline on November 7, 1987, at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday September 21, 2021, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held on Monday September 20, 2021, at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom from 4-7 p.m.  Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Survived by his daughter Jennifer (Andreas) Talcott-Chadwick and granddaughter Clarke Kaye, all of Vinton, a sister-in-law Linda (Gary) Talcott, 2 nephews Chris and Pat Talcott and many beloved extended family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, his brother, his loving wife, and an infant son.

Rick retired in 2016 after serving many years in the HR and workplace safety industries. In his retirement Rick enjoyed the finer things in life and celebrating the small, beautiful moments. He loved leather working, collecting western memorabilia, and his dog Olivia. Above all else, Rick rejoiced in laughing with his family and friends.
