Marilyn Pflughaupt, Age 80 of Coggon, IA, passed away at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, IA on Monday, November 29, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

A graveside service will be held at the Mt. Olivet cemetery in Coggon, IA on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 1 PM with Father Nick March officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Marilyn was born on April 14, 1941, in Independence, IA. She was the daughter of the late Willis and Delia (McGuire) Mills. On January 13, 1961, Marilyn married Roger Pflughaupt in Coggon, IA. Marilyn was a devout member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Coggon, IA for many years. She loved cooking, crafting, and taking care of multiple generations of children as a daycare provider.

Those left to cherish Marilyn’s memory are her children, Eric (Kandy) of Coggon, IA,  Terry (Jennifer) of Central City, Nick of Dayton, OH, and Cyndi Pflughaupt, of Coggon, IA; her grandchildren, Angus, Bryanna, Will, Collin, and Nick; her great-grandchildren, Braelynn, Carsyn, Eastyn, Lacie, and Stella; her grand puppies, Zoey and Myley. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sisters, Mildred Mills and Margie Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Oldorf Hospice House.

The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Oldorf Hospice House, Mercy Hospital, and many others involved in her care for all the love and support they showed Marilyn, while she was in their care.
