Memorial

Jo Anne Boots, 82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Monday, November 29th, 2021 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A private graveside service will follow the visitation. 

Jo Anne was born on October 25th, 1939, in Mt Ayr, Iowa. She married Herman Louis Boots in 1960 in Lineville, MO. Jo Anne worked for St. Luke’s Hospital as well as Nolting Manufacturing Inc until her retirement. She was always busy doing something, sewing, hand quilting, stained glass, or going for drives along the countryside. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. 

Survivors include her children Tina (Harold) Drew of Cedar Rapids, Shelia Boots of Cedar Rapids, Melody (Dennis) Schnipkoweit of Olin, Deborah (Larry) Fossel of Cedar Rapids, Tami (Dave) Dicus of Cedar Rapids, Joseph (Dawn Kaplan) Boots of Cedar Rapids; 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and her brother Donald Thompson of Texas.

 She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herman, two brothers, a granddaughter, and a great granddaughter. 

She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
