Sandra “Sandy” L. Andersen, 76, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home: 4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402. 

“Following the continued proclamations issued by the Governor, physical distancing must be practiced which may require a limited number of people allowed into a visitation at one time and limited seating available at services. The use of facial coverings is strongly encouraged.”

Survivors include her; six children, Todd Andersen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Troy (Ranae) Andersen of Hiawatha, Iowa; Lisa Fox of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Lynn Michalec of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Tyler (Becky) Andersen of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; Tiffany (Alex) Campbell of Hiawatha, Iowa; twelve grandchildren; five siblings, Nancy Feist of Linton, North Dakota; Tom Bosch of Linton, North Dakota; Berna Buchholz of Bismarck, North Dakota; Patrick (Jane) Bosch of Bismarck, North Dakota; Michael Bosch of Bismarck, North Dakota; and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and spouse, John Andersen; two sisters, Kathleen Stevens and Margie Bosch.

Sandy was born on July 21, 1944 in Linton, North Dakota the daughter of George and Alma (Wohl) Bosch. She married John Andersen on February 27, 1965 in Linton, North Dakota.  Sandy was a devoted homemaker and was known for her delicious baking and cooking. She was a faithful member of Church of The King. 

Sandy enjoyed touring the United States with John in their RV., cooking for neighbors, church members, and family, and especially the time spent with her beloved family and friends. Sandy’s greatest love was her grandchildren.  She was so proud of them. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Sandy was a Christian woman who loved the Lord Jesus Christ above all.

A special thank you to the staff at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha for their tender, compassionate, and loving care given to Sandy.
