Marilyn Margaret Novak, 87, of Marion, formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, July 10.  Public visitation will be held on Monday, July 26th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.  Service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 26th at the chapel.  Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Marilyn Margaret Novak was born on September 5, 1933, in New Plymouth, Idaho the daughter of Wayne and Margaret Evelyn (Tschirgi) Hall.  She graduated from Biola University in La Mirada, California.  Marilyn achieved her bachelor’s degree in Christian Education.   She was united in marriage on July 14, 1961, in Culver City, California to Earl Joseph Novak.  

Marilyn enjoyed crocheting, Husker Volleyball, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her family. She was a devoted and wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, of 59 years, Earl Novak of Anamosa, IA; four children, Daniel (Michelle) Novak of Ohio; Mark (Lynette) Novak of Wausau, WI; Nancy (Hugh) Novak of Anamosa, IA; and Greg Novak of Lincoln, NE; a brother, Jerry Hall; sister, Cheryl (Dave) Barnard; four grandchildren; and loving great-grandchildren, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Bob, and two sisters, June, and Marla.
