Memorial

William Woodward, 60, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at UnityPoint St. Luke’s Hospital.  Private family memorial service will be held on Friday, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.  The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on January 22, 2021 at the chapel.  A private inurnment will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A livestream of the funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website under the obituary for William, under the video tab, starting at 2:00 PM on Friday.

As mandated by proclamation, social distancing must be practiced which requires a limited number of people to be allowed into the visitation at one time. The use of facemasks or shields is required.

William Lawrence Woodward was born on May 16, 1960 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa the son of Eugene and Joanne (Wright) Woodward.  He graduated from Washington High School.  Bill was united in marriage to Linda Tackenberg on July 27, 1991 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  He and Linda loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas.  Bill enjoyed watching westerns and playing games on the computer.  Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Bill is survived by his wife, Linda Woodward of Cedar Rapids, IA; a niece, Abbey Erwin of North Liberty, IA; and loving extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Steven and David Woodward and a sister, Janne Woodward.
