Jack "Bill" Beaty Jr.

Born in Lafayette, LA
Born on Jan 6, 1958
Departed on Apr 30, 2021

Dear Pat and family, I am a secretary at the Anamosa United Methodist Church. I was so shocked and saddened to read of Bill's passing. Bill served the church as our IT guy for several years. I always enjoyed visiting with him about teaching and cats after he "saved" us many times from technology glitches. My husband had Bill as an instructor at Kirkwood and enjoyed his guidance and humor. He was such a nice guy....he will be greatly missed by many.

Bill was a great guy. He was my professor for several classes at Kirkwood, and my business partner for a couple years. Really sorry to hear he's gone.

Bill was a great instructor and he had a wonderful sense of humor; many in this world will miss him.

I am so sorry to see this. I knew he has been having a hard time lately but this caught me off guard. He and I spent many hours working on the office computers while I was pastor in Anamosa. You are all in my prayers as you remember him with smiles and tears

May God Bless you and your family as you mourn this loss. I never met Bill, but as a member of the Anamosa UMC, I am grateful for his contribution to our church's mission. May God's comfort be yours.

My wife, Becky, and I have known Bill for a number of years. He was out go-to IT person while we were in business and for our personal computer needs. He was always ready and willing to help no matter how big or small the issue. He was not just our IT person but we considered him a friend. Our heartfelt sympathies to his wife, family, and friends.

Pat and Family...I was so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I took many classes with Bill and always enjoyed seeing him in the hallways and talking to him. May the memories you share help you during this difficult time.

Pat and family - So very sorry to hear about Bill. This is a real loss for not only your family but the Kirkwood family where he made such a positive impact on so many people! He always had a smile and something light hearted to share with me. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Pat, My thought and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I always had a good laugh with Bill. I was just remembering when we were at a conference in Minneapolis and a group of us went out to dinner. Bill walked outside and talked a limo driver into giving us a lift back to the hotel at a very discounted price. Only Bill could do that and we laughed about it for a long time. I was glad I got the chance to talk to the both of a couple weeks ago at the retiree breakfast.

Very sad news, Pat and family. My sympathy to all of you.

I met Bill through my parents. He was a good man, with a ready laugh and had a kindness and patience that made him a joy to know. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I worked with Bill for about 19 years at Kirkwood. Bill was one of a kind and will be greatly missed. RIP dear friend.

Dear Pat and Family: We are all shocked and saddened by Bill's passing. All who knew him; his students, colleagues, and friends all have their special memories of Bill. He will always be fondly remembered by all who knew him. On behalf of the Kirkwood Retirees I send sincere condolences and sympathy. We extend our very best wishes to you at this time of great loss in your family.

May your memories be a blessing and allow you to keep him close to your heart in joy rather than pain. Cyndy

I had Professor Beaty as my instructor for several classes at Kirkwood. He was an outstanding teacher and I looked forward to every class I had with him. My condolences to his family and friends.

I was stunned to learn of Bills passing. I had the pleasure of taking several of his classes at Kirkwood. As he stubbornly refused to give up on me, Bill succeeded in teaching me a few things, whether it was classroom or climbing through the rafters, pulling cable, in the Marion 'home-school' office. My daughter remembers him as "Coach" of her soccer team at Marion high school. My condolences to the family, Bill will be missed.

Very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I remember him fondly from his time at Erb's and then as a Client. Best Wishes to the entire Family.

I had Bill as a student at Kirkwood as I was going through a career change. He was passionate and a great teacher. Upon becoming faculty, Bill was helpful and always there to lend assistance. He will be missed!!!
