I worked with Glen for a long time, he was always a compassionate person who would help anyone. Joe & I send you our deepest sympathy. May he rest in peace.

Karen and family, So sorry to hear about Glen. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. We wish you comfort during this sad time. Had alot of customers at Drugtown say what a good and loyal pharmacist he was. We always had a good time working together. He made the job fun but we made sure we always got the job done. He never put us down for doing something wrong, he pointed out what we needed to do to correct our mistake. And I don't think I ever saw him angry!! I was saddened to hear of Glen`s passing. I knew Glen from Vietnam, and he attended some of our Vietnam Reunions. I want to express our sympathy to the family and friends of Glen. I will contact all our VIetnam Veterans by email and let them know of is passing. I thank Glen for his service to the American people for stepping up and serving his County. Glen made a difference in Vietnam and continued making a difference to all in his community. Glen will be missed by his Fellow Veterans, we will see you in the future. Karen and family, We were sorry to learn of Glen's passing. I remember him especially as the calm, friendly pharmacist at Drug Town . Back in those days when the doctor's nurses phoned in prescriptions, he would take time to chat for a minute. The best phrase he ever told me was "the jacket I wore to work today is older than most of my co-workers". I use that phrase now and it still makes me smile. Our sympathy to you. Kurt and Terri

Karen, Mike, Steve, Dan, and all of your families. We wish we could be with you today, but please know we will be watching the livestream and praying with you today. We look forward to seeing you later on this year at his celebration of life! So many memories of Glen when I was growing up. He had such a gentle way of speaking, and you'd start to see his eyes twinkle and know he was about to say something funny! He and Grandpa were the ones that carried the singing at Christmas when we danced around the Christmas tree, and they both also would see who could crack a pecan and get the nut out whole! That took some patience, which is how I think of Glen...very calm and patient.

Karen, Mike, Steve, Dan and families, It's hard to believe that your dad is gone, and I'm so sad we can't be with you in person today. I completely understand why, and we'll be watching the live stream and looking forward to seeing you in person after it's safe to travel. I have such fond memories of Uncle Glen, whether it was boating on Lake McBride, or hearing his stories of anything from Indian Guides to adventures as a teenager. As I see other people saying, he always seemed so gentle and kind, and I can't ever remember seeing him angry. The photos you shared are wonderful. Some of them are very familiar, some are of things I even remember, and some of them I had never seen before. Seeing younger photos of him reminds me how strong the family resemblance is between the Madsen men! I know he is very proud of you all. And Karen, it always seemed like you two were the perfect pair. I know you will miss him after more than 50 years of marriage, but I hope you have a lifetime of happy memories to treasure. Glen was a wonderful person, a carrying pharmacist and a fantastic mentor. We met when I was a pharmacy student and his legacy continues with me every day through his clinical and life skill teachings. As a fellow veteran we became good comrades and enjoyed sharing our stories at the Linn County Pharmacy meetings. Glen will be missed, but never forgotten.
