Shirley, you were a woman before your time! Your kind heart, sharp mind, quick wit, and spot-on advice drew many people to you, and we were all so lucky to have you in our lives. You are one my greatest life blessings, and our friendship over the past 25 years will remain precious always. Thank you for being a mentor, friend, and surrogate mother to me. Sending my heartfelt condolences to David, Andrea, Chris, Dawn, and the rest of the family! I know how dearly she will be missed each day. With love, Lisa Heitland Williams

I first knew Shirley when i worked at Talbots. I would enjoy her fun personally, as well as how well she dressed. After my mother died, she noticed my mother's maiden name, she called me to tell me that my grandfather and her father were best friends! It is was such fun to realize this after a decade of knowing each other. My sister and i were so excited to hear stories of my grandfather whom we never met. We shared pictures back and forth, met for an afternoon in her beautifully decorated home, and marveled over how life can bring such connections. Shirley gave me pride and joy during a difficult time in my life. May we meet again Shirley, God Bless

My sincere condolence to all that grieve. I am saddened by the loss of my former wife, Shirley. One never loses the love shared or memories unknown to many. Death ends a life but memories live on for all that were part of her life. Stuart Grulke
